To place an order:
- How – Through e-mail, by telephone, by FAX, or by letter.
- Credit Card Orders – TTo protect your security, please provide me with credit card number, type of card (Visa, MasterCard, or AX), expiration date, and billing name and address for card. If your card has numbers imprinted on the signature space on the back of the card, I must have these numbers as well. My Merchant Bank requires the latter information for charges telephoned or otherwise authorized without a signed charge-slip, e.g., by telephone, FAX or letter. I recommend that you not provide this information in an e-mail to me in order to protect your security! Telephone, write, or FAX it to me instead.
- Payment by check Orders - Checks are accepted and invited, but there may be a 10-day delay in shipping in order to allow the check to clear.
- Interest-free layaway may also be available per individual agreement and payment arrangements.
- International Orders – Must include name, billing address, shipping address (if different), home and work telephone numbers. These purchases must be paid in US funds and must be through wire transfer, money order or check. Credit Card purchases are not available for international purchases. All applicable duties, taxes and shipping costs will be the responsibility of the purchaser.
To request a “special treatment” of a piece for purchase:
- Information needed – When placing the order, please specify any requested special name for your purchased piece, any requested edition number (if it remains available), or any specific patina (finish) you wish on the piece. I will work with you to create your purchased bronze sculpture in the manner you desire. Photographs will sometimes be requested in order to ensure that the piece meets your wishes (i.e., matching a patina to a specific animal, or color of clothing).
To commission a sculpture:
- How to commission – Please contact me by telephone, FAX, e-mail or letter. We can then discuss the piece you desire, the estimated timeline, the size desired for the piece, and an estimated cost for the piece. Any subject is possible with the exception of abstract art, and I will create the sculpture in any size desired as well.
- Payment for a commissioned piece – I require a down payment as a part of the contract between us for commissioning a piece. The full payment is then apportioned from that point in time to be paid in full prior to delivery, as we agree.
- Timeline – The timeline is dependent in part on the number of commissions I have under contract and in process, my projected time schedule, and the size and complexity of the piece. I undertake my commissions in the order in which they are contracted, so I encourage patrons to contract for that desired piece earlier rather than later. We will discuss the estimated timeline while discussing other specifics.
Normal time from placing an order to shipping the piece:
- Sculpture which is currently available – If I currently have a casting of the piece you order within my current inventory, the piece can be shipped immediately upon payment as set out above. As mentioned, when payment is made by a check, there will be a slight delay, allowing for the check to clear.
- Sculpture which must be ordered – If I am currently out of castings of that particular sculpture in my current inventory, I will immediately order a new casting from the foundry and will let you know an estimated delivery date. This usually happens when I have had a recent sale of that piece and a new casting has not been received from the foundry by the date of the purchase. Recastings normally require 4-6 weeks, unless the foundry is extremely busy.
- Sculpture purchases requiring special treatment – Any purchase that includes a special treatment (i.e., special patina, etc.) will be recast and usually available within the 4-6 weeks mentioned above.
To ship an order:
- Packaging and Shipping Charges -- These will be billed at cost.
- Method of Shipping – Preferred shipping method is second-day air, signature required. Ground transport is normally adequate for small pieces. The purchaser must state his or her preference for shipping of piece.
- Insurance During Shipping – When possible, insurance is included in the shipping charges in order to ensure shipping protection for the piece. However, Fed Ex does limit the amount of recovery for damaged shipments of fine art.
- Care in Shipping – I do package each bronze to be shipped with a great amount of care to result in a safe arrival.
Pricing reminder:
- Possible adjustments in price – My sculpture prices are based upon my casting costs. Due to ever-changing costs of producing these bronzes, the prices for my sculptures are subject to change. I make every effort to adjust the prices shown on this website immediately once a price has been adjusted.
Patina reminder:
- Patina variances – The patina process is a chemical process that I liken to “controlled chaos”. Therefore, each cast piece may show some variances in the final patina finish even though each was patinaed in exactly the same manner as the previous one. These slight variances make your purchased casting a “one-of-a-kind” original even though it is a part of a limited edition. Some patinas—such as my greys—by their very nature will vary significantly from piece to piece. The marble and dapple patinas I have used on several of my equine sculptures are a good example of this variance. The chemicals themselves create the patterning and blending, so each one is a magical creation of its own. They will each resemble each other, but their lightness/darkness and other patterning will vary to some degree from piece to piece.
Thank you very much for visiting my website. I sincerely appreciate your interest in my bronze sculptures and your support of my work.
